When President Trump said he would drain the swamp he wasn’t kidding. Look at the grotesque bottom-feeders revealed as the water level got so low they couldn’t hide anymore!
You know what happens when a fish is removed from the water—it flips and flips around, desperately trying to get back into the water! We’ve seen entities in this country stoop to levels never before seen in desperate moves to refill the swamp.
I have frequently referred to a line in Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road Not Taken.” There is a stanza in it that says,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves, no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
“Yet knowing how way leads on to way…”
I am convinced that most people miss the insight in this phrase. We seldom think about the ramifications of the choices we are making today or consider the connection between the state of current affairs and choices made yesterday. We are witnessing seeds being planted today that will bring about a harvest of rebellion and corruption the likes of which we cannot imagine today.
The road we are taking as a nation will make all the difference for the future.

You are so right! It makes the heart very sad!
I’m so thankful for hope in the eternal one who never changes.
My hope is built on nothing less!

One of my favorite poems. So sad to see the direction we are heading.

Yes. Frost is my favorite I think. I go back to him often. Unfortunately we are in a bad road and it will make all the difference
