For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

2 Chronicles 16:9:

“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth”

God is looking for His people. Hallelujah! Does that encourage you today? It does me. God is not simply sitting on his throne, tacitly available if we dare approach Him. On the contrary, He is looking for all of those whose hearts are committed to Him.

Maybe you stand in doubt of the validity of this Bible promise. You don’t think that He is looking for you. You don’t feel Him strengthening you. The problem with that logic is that it begins its assessment with human subjectivism. But the Bible says “the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are committed to Him.” Our feeling of strength or sense that He sees us does not cancel the veracity of this Bible promise, though our negative perspectives may indeed hinder us from receiving or realizing His strengthening. But I am convinced that even then God’s strength is coming to us, to be realized later when we have matured.

Is your heart committed to God? Then by faith receive His strength today!
